Here are sample lessons, units, outlines, syllabi, and other instructional items.
The NCS Course Outlines were developed at the end of the 2006-2007 school year. The Middle School Criticism unit was one of the lessons taught that year.
K5 Outline (pdf) NCS Curriculum Map for all grades K-5 (3 sections, 2 campuses), quarters.
6 Outline (pdf) NCS Curriculum Map for 4 sections of 6th grade, alternate meetings, quarters.
7 Outline (pdf) NCS Curriculum Map for 3 sections of 7th grade, alternate meetings, trimesters.
MS Unit Plan (pdf) As taught as NCS 2006-2007.
MS Unit Student Packet (minus the additional reference handouts) (pdf) As taught as NCS 2006-2007. There was an issue with a teaching parent and the student, who had an IEP on file but which was not distributed to the art resource teacher, regarding the unit materials being beyond grade level. However, this unit was repeated for a total of four quarters without other incident or complaint from any other parent for the entire school year and all of the students responded well to this project.
Together, the following Elements Course and Storyboards represent one part of the Master's thesis in which an entire project charter was developed, in addition to the full Line unit.
Elements Course (pdf) 5th grade Line unit.
Elements Course Storyboards (pdf) These Storyboards present the multimedia elements in the interactive 5th grade Line unit.
Here are some instructional items developed during the course of my graduate studies.
HS Lesson Plan (pdf) Line, Lesson 4. This was developed but not taught.
DI (pdf) This is a collection of various differentiated instruction strategies developed in recollection of my teaching experiences and while also looking forward to the development of an online art program.
Long Range Curriculum Map (pdf) I used this activity as an opportunity to develop my online art program (one 10-week quarter).
Short Range Curriculum Map (pdf) I used this activity as an opportunity to develop my online art program (one month unit).
NCS Classroom Management Plan (pdf). This was my classroom discipline guideline at the start of the 2006-2007 school year. At the time of its drafting, the Middle School assignment was not yet worked out and communicated to me.
Virtual Schooling Management Plan (pdf). This is a portfolio of instructional strategies developed for an online art program I have been drafting little by little over the years.
This Acts 17:28 formatted testimony (pdf) is the story of a young adult who experiences a divine intervention to literally move from death to life, from brokenness to restoration both physically and spiritually.
This is my story, in part.

Blended Intervention Video (wmv)
This is a hypothetical two-part Leadership Training course as I was not given permission to conduct this activity. Part 1 was to be online, as simulated by the video, and Part 2 was to be a face-to-face follow-up, with pre- and post-tests and end of course evaluations. The goal in developing this plan was to develop and facilitate a training evaluation using the five Kirkpatrick/Phillips ROI levels, delivered asynchrously and synchrously.
Knowledge Based Intervention (pdf)
This is a hypothetical nine-stage evaluation and training intervention using the ADDIE process for analysis and development and the five Kirkpatrick/Phillips ROI levelsthat was also not conducted. Non-training based intervention was also considered.

Demo Lesson: Line (pdf)
Demo Lesson: Line Student Worksheet (pdf)
These were the items developed for successfully gaining employment as an Adjunct Professor for ITT. The syllabus was part of the job-seeking package and was developed from information that was publicly available on the internet. The Demo Lesson was a 20 minute audition with the administration responsible for hiring.
Course Proposal (pdf)
This was an instructional design course proposal submitted in June 2013 that went unanswered, and was thus an unsuccessful employment attempt. A supplemental wikispace course was developed to display the more complete syllabus, but was never viewed. This propossal is included here as an example of course planning and catalogue development.
